Fun figures for a finger puppet theatre
Why not try something new and make Easter theatre time? Curtain up, here comes the bunny theatre. These fun bunny figures are not at all hard to make and turn an Easter breakfast into a theatre extravaganza.
- brown craft paper for the bunnies and other colours for hats, ties
- joggle eyes
- Pritt PVA Craft Glue
- small plate (12-15 cm diameter)
- felt tip pens
Place the plate on the craft paper and draw around the edge with a pencil. Cut out the circle.
Then fold it in half and then in half again. Cut the circle along the folds into the four pieces that then look like slices of cake.
Each piece will become a finger puppet. Roll the quarter circle into a cone and glue the edges. Once the glue is dry, fold the point forwards. The bunnies' "bodies" are finished.
Now print out the head template and trace it several times onto craft paper and cut out the heads. Draw a cheeky bunny face on each head.
Design the figures with leftover craft paper however you like. What about a baseball cap, a crown, hair ribbons, a tie or a cloak...You're bound to have lots of great ideas. Carefully glue the accessories onto the head or body.
Then all you have to do is glue the head onto the body. Curtain up, let the show begin!
Tips and Tricks:
Secure the glued edges of the bunny bodies with a paper clip. Then they don't unravel and the glue can dry without you having to hold it.
