Today we’ll show you how to make an elephant out of paper so that you can experience an exciting jungle adventure. The friendly elephant is standing at a tree eating when a loud cracking and rustling comes from the bushes. All of a sudden two nasty poachers jump out of the undergrowth and run towards the elephant – they want to capture him! But this jungle giant is not going to let them take him so easily. Did you know that elephants can run at up to 40 km/h? So he quickly makes a run for it. Will he manage to escape the poachers, maybe by the help of some animal rights activists? Help him to escape and get back to his herd!
First, cut out all parts of the craft set along the solid lines.
To make the elephant, fold the template down the middle and fold the coloured blocks inwards. The figure is now triangular. Stick the two bottom tabs together using Pritt glue so that your elephant can stand up.
Make the two poachers, the animal rights activists and the tree in the same way.
And that's it!
In our jungle craft projects we not only show you how to make an elephant, we have other jungle animals too. Maybe you would like to take care of the cute baby animals in the rescue station? They are always reeeeeally hungry!
Tipps & Tricks
To make the figures more stable, you can stick them onto a thin card or an empty cornflakes box before. Then they will stand up really well.
